1. About Danescapes

Danescapes is a Malta-based group travel company operated by Daniela and Antoni. We organise curated group trips and individual travel experiences to destinations including Egypt, Albania, the Azores, and more. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all bookings made through our website www.danescapes.com (the "Website").

By making a booking through our Website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are booking on behalf of other travellers in your group, you confirm that you have their authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. Booking Process

2.1 How to Book

To make a booking, select your desired trip, choose your options (room type, add-ons, etc.), enter the traveller details for all guests, and proceed to payment. A booking is only confirmed once payment (or deposit) has been successfully processed and you have received a confirmation email.

2.2 Booking Confirmation

Upon successful payment, you will receive a booking confirmation via email containing your booking reference, trip details, and payment summary. Please review this carefully and contact us immediately if any details are incorrect.

2.3 Eligibility

Our group trips are open to travellers aged 18 and above unless otherwise specified on the trip page. Travellers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Children pricing, where available, will be displayed on the trip booking page.

3. Pricing & Payment

3.1 Prices

All prices on our Website are quoted in Euros (€) and are per person unless otherwise stated. Prices include the services listed under "What's Included" on each trip page. Anything listed under "Not Included" is at your own expense.

3.2 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit/Debit Card — processed securely via Stripe
  • Revolut — payment instructions will be provided after booking
  • Bank Transfer — bank details will be provided after booking
  • Cash — your booking will be reserved pending cash payment

3.3 Deposit & Balance

You may choose to pay in full at the time of booking or pay a 50% deposit. If you choose the deposit option, the remaining 50% balance is due no later than 4 weeks (28 days) before the departure date. Failure to pay the remaining balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking without refund of the deposit.

3.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to amend prices at any time before a booking is confirmed. Once a booking is confirmed and payment received, the price is locked and will not change.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

4.1 Cancellation by You

If you wish to cancel your booking, the following cancellation charges apply:

  • More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus €50 administrative fee per person
  • 30–60 days before departure: 50% refund of total trip cost
  • 15–29 days before departure: 25% refund of total trip cost
  • Less than 15 days before departure: No refund

Cancellation requests must be sent in writing via email to info@danescapes.com.mt. The cancellation date is the date we receive your written request.

4.2 Cancellation by Danescapes

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel a trip due to insufficient bookings, safety concerns, force majeure, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, you will be offered either a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to an alternative trip.

4.3 Trip Modifications

If you wish to modify your booking (e.g., change room type, add-ons, or guest details), please contact us as soon as possible. We will accommodate changes where possible, but modifications are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

5. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travellers purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure. Your insurance should cover, at minimum:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
  • Personal liability
  • Lost or stolen baggage

Danescapes shall not be held responsible for any losses, damages, or expenses incurred due to the lack of adequate travel insurance. We may request proof of insurance before departure.

6. Passports, Visas & Health Requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure that you hold a valid passport with at least 6 months validity beyond the return date, and any required visas for your destination. You are also responsible for meeting any health requirements (vaccinations, COVID-19 regulations, etc.) for the countries visited. Danescapes accepts no liability for travellers who are denied entry or boarding due to inadequate documentation.

7. Itinerary Changes

While we make every effort to follow the published itinerary, we reserve the right to modify the programme due to weather conditions, local regulations, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will always endeavour to provide suitable alternatives of equal or greater value. No refund will be given for minor itinerary changes.

8. Liability & Limitation

Danescapes acts as an organiser and coordinator of group travel experiences. We carefully select our accommodation, transport, and activity providers, but we are not liable for the acts or omissions of third-party service providers.

Danescapes shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, illness, or death arising from:

  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, epidemics, political unrest, war, terrorism)
  • Airline cancellations, delays, or schedule changes
  • Acts or omissions of third-party suppliers
  • Your failure to follow safety instructions or local regulations
  • Your own negligence or pre-existing medical conditions

9. Behaviour & Conduct

We expect all travellers to behave respectfully towards fellow group members, local communities, and the environment. Danescapes reserves the right to remove any traveller from a trip without refund if their behaviour is deemed disruptive, dangerous, or disrespectful to others.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our Website — including text, images, logos, and designs — is the property of Danescapes and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without prior written permission.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malta. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your booking shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Maltese courts.
